Pusha T said He Fainted When He Heard Ghostface’s Verse on New Gold Flow

New God Flow had a nice surprise feature by Ghostface Killa, when the G.O.O.D Music Cruel Summer album dropped a few weeks ago. Apparently, Pusha T was as surprised as we were! While on the red carpet, he spoke to Vibe about his initial reaction.

“I heard the album on August 28th. I was just as shocked as you were,” Pusha T tells VIBE about the surprise Ghostface verse featured on “New God Flow.” “Everybody was brought in the studio and told to sit down, and [Kanye] played it. And they all just watching me. He’s telling me ‘Listen to the new mix! Whatcha think about the new mix of it?’ Man, when Ghost came on I fainted. He killed it.”

He went on to say,

We said Ghostface and Raekwon have the most timeless flows ever.

Q-Tip Hints at a G.O.O.D Music “Cruel Winter” Album

Even though Q-Tip is on Kanye’s roster for G.O.O.D Music, he surprisingly didn’t go up to bat on the group’s compilation album, Cruel Summer. When MTV asked Q why he wasn’t featured on the album, he hinted at a potential sequel project with the crew.

“I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag… If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter, right?”

Cruel Summer sold 205k copies in it’s opening week and landed number 2, behind Pink, on the Billboard 200. Is it winter yet?!

G.O.O.D Music’s “Cruel Summer” Comes in at #2

It’s been a week since G.O.O.D Music’s Cruel Summer has dropped, and their first week numbers have officially come in. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Kanye’s team sold 205,000, landing them in the number 2 spot behind Pink on the Billboard 200 chart.

However, on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, the crew enters at No. 1! And according to Rapup, this is Pink’s first number 1, selling 280,000 copies of The Truth About Love.

Hit-Boy Talks Playing Album for Jay-Z

Rap-Up caught up with our G.O.O.D friend, Hit-Boy and grilled the young producer with many questions regarding the Cruel Summer compilation album, his collaboration with Compton’s own, Kendrick Lamar, and even went on to say, he’s a free agent but has a lot of people knocking on his door — including Jigga Man.

“I got to play the album for Hov and he asked me for a copy on the spot, so that was just an accomplishment in itself.”
